At Sugar and Frosting, Fort Worth Bakery we love babies and 1st birthday cakes.  This one was particularly adorable and we wanted to share it with you.  The birthday cake and smash cake went together beautifully.  The parents of this little one brought in the rubber ducky topper while Sugar and Frosting created the cake iced in sky blue, with random blue, yellow and white dots as well as white fondant bubbles.  The smash cake was topped with a #1 making it the perfect photo opportunity.

Gender Reveal Cakes

A very popular cake idea that has been trending in the last few years is the gender reveal cake.  Expecting parents will attend an ultrasound around the 20 week point praying the child isn't crossing it's legs.  Often times the doctors office will call or send a sealed envelope to the staff Sugar and Frosting Fort Wort Bakery.  It's incredible and exciting to get the opportunity to know the sex even before the parents do!  Then hidden between the layers of cake the pink or blue frosting is placed and sealed inside for a cake cutting surprise at the gender reveal party to friends and family members!
